The phrase “when we get back to normal” has become the punctuation at the end of many sentences lately. It’s only natural to look back longingly at the time before a traumatic event, and COVID-19 is nothing if not traumatic.

However, the reality is, COVID-19 has changed our world for the foreseeable future; and that is not necessarily a bad thing. While we acknowledge change can be uncomfortable, we also recognize that change promotes growth. Throughout history, positive change has oftentimes sprouted up from the rubble of turbulent events.

The New Normal

While many businesses are beginning to open their doors again, it is only at 10 -25 percent capacity. Even with these restrictions in place, ensuring that staff and patrons are protected and in compliance with the latest information on safety can be a daunting task.

When restrictions on capacity are eventually lifted, businesses will not be able to just throw open their doors and go about business as usual. COVID-19 and the threat of other potential viruses will remain at the forefront of people’s minds. Organizations can take advantage of the limited capacity restrictions in place now by using this time to determine how best to optimize reopening their operations fully.

A great way to do this is to establish a crowd management and COVID-19 safety program by using a team of experts to provide the following:

  • An evaluation of your unique operational requirements.
  • Development of a personalized strategy that maximizes your operational flow.
  • Staff that has been trained on social distancing guidelines, emergency awareness, and more.

Crowd management can improve your operation now and in the future. Because it’s not only about surviving, it’s about thriving.

COVID-19 has changed the way we look at everything and crowd management is no different. Stay tuned for the next installment of our Crowd Management and COVID-19 Series.
